I met Quasha and Brendan through the STRANGEST series of events. The short version is that I met one of Quasha’s best friends (Danielle) at an Old Navy and we ended up hanging out. Then I needed some additional models for a photo project during my Photography Certificate coursework at the Kansas City Art Institute and Danielle brought Quasha along to help me out! We hit it off right away as we both love to laugh and don’t take ourselves too seriously. Before they ever hired me for their wedding, my husband and I met Brendan in line at a Trader Joes and he was super memorable because of how chatty and nice he was. When he showed up at the engagement session, we put it together that it was the same person!! WHAT A SMALL WORLD!
Anywhoo, these two are such amazing people to be around and I am so excited that we got a full day of sun and perfect temperatures for their wedding after freezing our butts off at their engagement session! They made me cry about 8 times as they shared their thankfulness for the people around them and the paths that led them to each other.
The girls got ready at the Grand Hall at Power & Light and the couple did their first look in the stunning Beacon Lounge (also where Brendan proposed and a place where I’ve always wanted to shoot) and the guys got ready at the Hilton President (I get to shoot a full wedding at this hotel in November!). We took some photos at the Liberty Memorial overlooking the Kansas City skyline before heading to Lees Summit for their ceremony and reception at the Libby Lane Event Center.
Congratulations to these love birds - I wish you all the happiness in the world!
