On a cold, windy, Winter day in Downtown Kansas City… that just so happened to also be Valentine’s Day, I got to photograph this incredible couple’s engagement session!! We have the craziest story about how we met… read more here!
When Katie was looking for a maternity photographer, she found me and four other photographers in Kansas City online. She sent our work to her photographer friend in Phoenix, where she’s from, and let her choose. She said her friend chose me because my work was the most consistent….. what an incredible compliment! It definitely made my morning :) Katie and Eric are so fun and easy-going, I had such a wonderful time with this sunrise shoot at Loose Park. She will be induced in a week or two and I wish them all the best with this new, incredible season of life they’re about to embark on!
An explanation of the strategies I use to cut the time it takes me to cull and edit all the images from weddings and portrait sessions in half (if not more). Tips to creating a consistent workflow for the post-processing side of your photography business.
Finding your wedding photographer might feel overwhelming because you just don’t know where to start and what questions to ask. Or, you may be torn between choosing a friend who is getting started in photography or investing in a professional with proven experience. Here are five questions you should be sure to ask your potential wedding photographer before booking with them. These 5 questions will help you feel confident in what you’re signing up for and save you from stressing about it when it gets to the wedding day because you know exactly what to expect!
Garden of the Gods and Manitou Springs, Colorado were the perfect backdrops for this elegant, wintery, mauve styled shoot. I had always wondered what Manitou would look like from the road leading up to Cave of the Winds, and it was every bit as good as I had hoped!
I feel so lucky to have gotten to end my 2018 with such a bang because of this California wedding! What a treat it was to escape the cold for a bit and celebrate the beginning of Kevin & Dayna’s life together on December 1st. These two met through mutual friends who played matchmaker for them. Their friends thought they’d be good together and it turns out, they were right!
The Mayor’s Christmas tree in Crown Center, Kansas City, was the absolute perfect backdrop for Andy to propose to Jacque on this crisp, December day. They are the sweetest couple and I can’t believe how lucky I was to be the one who got to watch him pop the question and witness their first moments of joy as they look towards forever together! Since it’s usually the bride who finds me in her search for a wedding photographer after she is already engaged, it’s not often that I get to be there for the actual proposal… much less get invited to the engagement party!! What a treat!
